Moving to Seamline from another tool
Bring over your public profile and your subscriber list, and choose what comes with you.
Two things can move: the public profile you already have somewhere else, and the people who asked to hear from you. Neither is imported automatically, and nothing is published until you say so.
To bring over your public profile:
- Open Settings and find "Import from URL".
- Paste the address of a public page. Use a page that needs no login and has no query parameters or fragment.
- Choose "Read & Extract" and review the profile and project details drafted from that page.
- Pick the details you want to bring over. Anything you leave out stays as it was.
Only creator-authored public page content is read for this. Do not use this tool for subscriber lists or private information.
To bring over your subscriber list:
- Export your list from your old tool as a CSV file (comma-separated values) encoded as UTF-8, with a header row.
- Use the columns "email", "first_name" and "source". A file can hold up to 500 rows and about 1 MB.
- Open Subscribers and choose "Import Subscribers (CSV)".
- Pick the project the people belong to, then choose whether to send a welcome sequence. "No welcome sequence" is the default.
- Import only people who agreed to hear from you. Seamline cannot grant that permission for you.
- Emails already on your list are skipped, not duplicated.
- Email addresses from your file are never sent to the AI.
- Every email you send still carries a one-click unsubscribe link.
- There is a limit on how many imports you can run per hour, so check the file before you upload it.
